Bathwick St Mary Church of England Primary School Parent Reviews

Average Parent Rating

“OK on surface”

School is OK on surface, however, in my experience, too focussed on those children whose are already loud/confident/look the part, without nurturing all children to full potential, especially in the 'middle years'.
“A small, caring school”

I also think this is a great school. The teachers are excellent and because of its small size the teachers know all of the children. The emphasis is on caring for each other and being the best you can be. The extra support available to children who have extra learning needs is excellent, the school keep parents informed and involved and as a result children feel supported and cared for. A brilliant school overall.
“I love my school!”

My daughters are currently in Y3 after going through the Infants and my son completed all of his junior school at Bathwick St Mary's. We love this school. The teachers are inspiring and caring, the small size gives the school a village feel and the headmaster is incredibly dedicated. I feel my children receive individual attention from their teachers. Each has been helped to excel where they did well and to grow and learn in those areas where they needed help. There is additional sport and music tuition and a lot of art and fun projects including several all-school dramas and plays. The friendships my son made have lasted beyond his time at the school. The school also has a strict anti-bullying policy which means bullying is pretty much non existent. I couldn't ask for more from a school and feel privileged to be a part of the community.

The library is a lovely and very popular place. Over the past few years, it has had a complete facelift and now includes a beautiful book tree decorated with leaves created by the children, a comfy corner and lots of popular new books. The latest addition is Junior Librarian, a school library system which allows books to be browsed, issued and reviewed digitally.
