Bettridge is a community special school for pupils with severe or profound learning difficulties. All pupils have a statement of special educational needs and/or an education health and care plan. The number of children in the early years provision has been below five since the last inspection. The percentage of pupils who are eligible for pupil premium is significantly above the national average. Inspection report: Bettridge School, 1–2 February 2017 Page 9 of 12 The majority of pupils are White British and speak English as their first language.
