Bryn Primary School is in the village of Bryn between Port Talbot and Maesteg. Most pupils live locally. The school currently has 51 full-time pupils from reception to Year 6 plus seven parttime nursery children, all taught in three mixed age classes. As a result, an acting headteacher had been brought in by the local authority after half-term and two of the three classes were taught by temporary teachers, supported by a local authority representative.
