The school meets the government’s current floor standards which set the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress by the end of Year 6. There are some mixed-aged classes in the school. The school is currently being led by the deputy headteacher. A local leader of education has supported the school during this term. Immediately before the inspection, a mentor headteacher started working with the school full-time. The governing body is currently being led by a new Chair of the Governing Body provided by the Local Authority. There is a before- and after-school club which provides care for pupils outside of the school day. This is run by a private provider. It is inspected separately.
