Caereinion High School is a naturally bilingual mixed community school for 11 to 18-year-old pupils located in the small town of Llanfair Caereinion, and it is maintained by Powys local authority. There are 545 pupils on roll, compared to 597 at the time of the last inspection in October 2007. There are 95 pupils in the sixth form. The headteacher was appointed to his post in September 2008 after being acting headteacher since January 2007.
