SUCCESS FOR COKETHORPE ON THE ATHLETICS FIELD

On Thursday 5 June the Lower House athletes from Cokethorpe travelled to St Hugh’s School to take part in the annual Invitational athletics meet.

The sun filled afternoon offered a mixture of field and track events and athletes had the opportunity to compete in an unlimited amount of events.

A successful afternoon saw Cokethorpe crowned winners. As the races on the track began Cokethorpe put a stamp on the afternoon winning the 800 metres for girls and boys, 200 metres girls, the 100 metres girls and boys, and both four by 100 metres relays. The field event competitions were met with the same fortune and many parents and staff were impressed with the talent in offer from the pupils.

A huge congratulations to all the athletes who took part, a great start to the athletics season for the School.
