Independent preparatory schools do not have to follow the National Curriculum or submit test results to the Department for Education so there is no individual school performance data or star rating.

Visit the school's website to learn more about their unique curriculum, policies on testing and common leaver destinations (a good indicator of pupil progress). See our About page for information on Choosing A Prep School.

School Description

L’ Ecole du Parc is an independent day nursery and school located in the Clapham area of the London Borough of Wandsworth. Although it was registered in 2002 to admit children aged one to six years, it has not had any children above the age of five in the last few years. There are currently 44 children on roll under the age of five years, 13 of whom are under three and 17 of whom attend part time. There are 26 children in receipt of funding under the government’s nursery education scheme. There are no children with a statement of special educational need and/or disabilities. Children attend from a local catchment area and most speak either French or English as an additional language. The school teaches the French curriculum for nursery schools combined with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. It had its first Section 162a inspection in May 2007 when it was housed in different premises. It had an Early Years and childcare inspection in June 2009 at the current address. The school is registered on the Early Years Register and both the compulsory and voluntary part of the Childcare Register. The school’s main aims are for ‘each child in its care to be happy and confident in a group setting’ and ‘to ensure that small classes and quality teaching give the children solid foundations for learning’.
