This school is well above average in size compared with other primary schools. Pupil numbers are rising as it completes its expansion to three forms of entry. The headteacher has been in the substantive post since the start of term. He was previously head of school for two terms. During this period he was supported by the headteacher of a local outstanding school for two days each week. This followed the retirement of the previous headteacher.
