PREP
Independent preparatory schools do not have to follow the National Curriculum
or submit test results to the Department for Education so there is no individual
school performance data or star rating.
Visit the school's website to learn more about their unique curriculum,
policies on testing and common leaver
destinations (a good indicator of pupil progress).
See our About page for information on
Choosing A Prep School.
Pupils at Froebel House School follow clearly defined routines and behaviour expectations. This ensures the school environment is calm and orderly. The school’s merit system enables pupils to earn stickers and work collectively towards house points. The school celebrates pupils’ positive behaviour in the ‘worthy of praise’ assembly. The school provides pupils with opportunities to be house captains or monitors. These roles encourage pupils to take on responsibility. The school inspires pupils to consider their future careers. Pupils are aspirational, they hope to be doctors, surgeons and teachers. The school’s curriculum is not well developed. Staff have not considered how it is sequenced to build learning from Reception to Year 6. The curriculum for children in early years is under review. The school is beginning to ensure that the curriculum is planned across the seven areas of the early years framework. The school ensures that pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 experience computer lessons. These pupils know how to stay safe online. Pupils in the other year groups are not taught about internet safety. This potentially exposes younger pupils to dangers, such as online bullying. Some pupils know not to interact or share personal information with strangers. Pupils say that they feel safe at Froebel House School. However, the school’s safeguarding processes are not thorough. There is not an effective culture of safeguarding.

Froebel House School Catchment Area Map
This school is independently managed and its admission criteria may be selective. There is no set catchment area as pupils are admitted from a wide variety of postcodes and, in the case of boarding schools, from outside the UK. Contact the school directly or visit their website for more information on Admissions Policy and Procedures.
2015 GCSE RESULTSImportant information for parents
Due to number of reforms to GSCE reporting introduced by the government in 2014, such as the exclusion of iGCSE examination results, the official school performance data may not accurately report a school’s full results. For more information, please see About and refer to the section, ‘Why does a school show 0% on its GSCE data dial? In many affected cases, the Average Point Score will also display LOW SCORE as points for iGCSEs and resits are not included.
Schools can upload their full GCSE results by registering for a School Noticeboard. All school results data will be verified.
