“Gosfield Gets It RIght”

unlock
"> I have two children at this school and the leadership team is inspiring, forward thinking and encouraging. It is a happy school and planned investments will serve to improve the facilities further. Academically my children are given the right level of stretch and enjoy their lessons. It is a nurturing environment and seeks to bring the best out in every child. I would recommend Gosfield to families wishing to give their children a wonderful opportunity to learn extensively, both in core subjects and beyond the curriculum with the added bonus to being happy whilst doing it.
“A fantastic expereince”

unlock
"> Our child is in their third year and has had a fantastic experience so far - in every respect. The best of the teachers are inspiring and the grades and progress achieved to date are better than we hoped for. The overall feel is more akin to a friendly family than a competitive corporate and our child has made great friends of both genders and across a range of ages and backgrounds (as have we). Recent and planned investments in sports and performing arts are raising both up a level. Communication with parents has been mixed at best, but there are signs that this is changing. With friends' children in all local independent and state schools, we are comfortable that this was the right choice for ours and would thoroughly recommend Gosfield to families seeking an excellent education which is inclusive of all academic levels, and then unlocks the best in each individual. “Excellent small school”

unlock
"> This is an excellent school that is ideal for kids that will thrive in the safe atmosphere and smaller classes. It does not pretend to support children with special needs. We find the teachers are caring and engaged and our daughter would never go anywhere else.
“'The future's bright'”

unlock
"> As with all places the school has had its ups and downs over the years, however at its heart is a place where children can have a safe and all-round education. Unfortunately those who seek to gain from it for their own personal gains (parents, staff and/or other individuals) without consideration for all of the school community will never be satisfied. Those who want it and their children to succeed unselfishly, recognising that everyone has different needs and abilities will only have an overall positive experience.
“Excellent school”

unlock
"> This is a lovely school. I have two children in year 6 who have been in the prep school since reception and they are incredibly happy. I know parents whose children are in the senior school who are also very happy. The school offers excellent learning support as well as extending those who are more able. The teachers are fantastic and pastoral care is brilliant as the teachers know each child individually. All the parents I know at the school are of the same opinion but unfortunately these review sites always seem to attract those with an axe to grind, rather than the excellent reviews this school deserves. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to anyone.
“Stay Away”

unlock
"> Be aware of the other reviews. Teachers have favourites. Discipline is poor. Most classrooms are poorly maintained. My advice: STAY AWAY!
“Happy Place”

unlock
"> 2 children attending the prep school, both are happy and enjoying their learning.
“Not recommended”

unlock
"> I cannot agree more with the previous review. In fact I would go further and add that not only is there a culture of "favourites, certain children are "treated differently". If your child has any special needs, I would recommend you seek an alternative school. In my opinion, Gosfield is not equipped to deal with anything outside the "norm".
“No Go Zone”

unlock
"> Based on my experience of this school, I strongly agree with the previous review, teachers certainly do have favourites and prioritise some students over others making learning difficult as the atmosphere can become volatile and situations between students are handled very poorly. A serious lack of discipline where needed.
