School Description

Haddon Dene is a small, traditional preparatory school based in Broadstairs, for children aged 3 to 11 years. We have built a solid reputation for academic achievement. Every year, the vast majority of our children transition to excellent grammar schools. Equally as strong in the arts and sports, our children participate in a vast array of activities that build confidence and forge future life skills.

Haddon Dene School Parent Reviews

Average Parent Rating

“Good school for high achievers.”

A good school if your child is in the top 10% of academic achievers. In my opinion the school excels in recognising the high achievers - actively singling them out to be regularly rewarded and applaulded, resulting in high self esteem and confidence. Your average ability child, however, can be made to feel insignificant and unworthy in my experience. This does cause resentment and enormous difficulties with the motivation to learn.
“Caring, family atmosphere”

Brililant school with a very supportive, family atmosphere. Really encouraging acacdemically, regardless of whether you will be putting your child in for the 11+ or not. You really get the education you pay for.
