The school is the only academy in St Botolph’s Trust. Since the last inspection, planning has been taking place to move to becoming part of a multi-academy trust. At its last inspection, the school was judged to require special measures. A new principal joined the school in 2016. An interim advisory board replaced the governing body in August 2016. The school is larger than the average-sized primary school. The proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals is similar to the national average. The proportion of pupils who have an education, health and care plan is lower than the national average. The school meets requirements on the publication of specified information on its website. The school complies with Department for Education guidance on what academies should publish. The school meets the current government floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in English and mathematics.
