This is much smaller than the average sized primary school. It comprises of four mixed-age classes. Pupil numbers have increased markedly since the previous inspection. More pupils join the school, at other than the usual times, than in most schools. The proportion of pupils supported by the pupil premium, which provides additional funding for pupils known to be eligible for free school meals, children from service families and those looked after by the local authority, is above average and has doubled since 2010. The percentage of pupils supported at school action is above average; the percentage supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is well above that usually seen. Most pupils are White British and there are few pupils with English as an additional language. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which are the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress. Little Bollington Church of England Primary School is an Investor in People, holds the Inclusion Quality Mark and also the Food Council Bronze award.
