School Description

Founded in 1620, Merchant Taylors' School is an HMC independent day school for boys between the ages of 7 and 18. Admission is by entrance examination and academic standards are high with excellent facilities for sport, music, art and drama. A sizable endowment income is used to assist families with fees and helps ensure that the school is socially comprehensive.

L6 BOYS PROFIT FROM NATIONAL INVESTMENT COMPETITION

A team of four Merchant Taylors’ pupils have made it through to the finals of the Student Investor Challenge.

Year 12 students Connor M, Oliver J, Harry L and Tom H took part in the competition which provided teams with £100,000 of virtual money to buy and sell shares in the FTSE100. The team turned this £100,000 into £109,000 to finish in the Top 20 out of 4,000 teams. A fantastic achievement!
