Independent preparatory schools do not have to follow the National Curriculum or submit test results to the Department for Education so there is no individual school performance data or star rating.

Visit the school's website to learn more about their unique curriculum, policies on testing and common leaver destinations (a good indicator of pupil progress). See our About page for information on Choosing A Prep School.

School Description

North Bridge House is a group of five independent co-educational day schools in North London, ranging from Nursery through to Sixth Form, ages 2 years 9 months to 18. Each school is distinctive, contemporary and high-achieving, and successfully prepares children for the next stage in their school career. Children are nurtured and progressed beyond the national average at NBH Nursery and Pre-Prep Schools, before joining NBH Prep where they are set up for outstanding outcomes. Girls are prepared for 11+ entry to the top senior schools, whilst boys join the country’s leading destinations at 13+ with first class Common Entrance results. North Bridge House offers a choice of two Senior School campuses at 11+. NBH Hampstead and NBH Canonbury both focus on growing the individual in small classes and celebrate excellent GCSE results. Students are then welcomed into Sixth Form at NBH Canonbury for outstanding, individually tailored A-Level and university preparation.

WHY CHOOSE OUR PREP SCHOOL?

At North Bridge House Prep School, we strongly believe in the importance of nurturing the individual to develop our pupils’ personal strengths and achievements. We aim to know, support and inspire every pupil; to ensure that they feel valued and successful – and that their progress is carefully monitored.

In fact, our commitment to our pupils has recently been recognised and rewarded again with another ‘outstanding in all areas‘ inspection report.

Academic work and self-discipline are at the centre of school life but a full programme of activities, events and school trips also help to develop pupils’ curiosity. All pupils are involved in school activities which encourage them to become more self-aware and help them acquire to the skills needed for adult life. Our continuing objective is to instil the belief that education is a preparation for the future.

At North Bridge House, we believe that both the mind and the character need to be fostered in order for students to achieve their full potential. We focus on the individual and challenge every pupil to make their own special contribution.

As well as maintaining our high academic results, we also offer a broad extra-curricular provision – with an emphasis on music, drama, art and sport –  and encourage the children to participate in as many areas as possible.

In recent years, we have evolved into one of London’s most popular prep schools with our boys and girls achieving excellent results in their senior school exams. We guide both pupils and parents through the senior school process to ensure that every child moves onto the right school for them.

The Prep School is a very happy community and we look forward to welcoming you to our school.
