The school is larger than the average-sized junior school. The vast majority of pupils come from a wide range of minority ethnic groups. Those from Gypsy/Roma and White Other backgrounds form the largest other groups. Most pupils speak English as an additional language. The proportion of pupils supported by the pupil premium is above average. The proportion of pupils with special educational needs support and the proportion with a statement of educational need or an education, health and care plan are above average.

"> I attended an open evening at Peartree Junior School today. The hospitality, kindness and professionalism given by staff there was brilliant. The school in itself was so much better than what I had expected as I had heard negative reports on the school, but after speaking with the headteacher Mr.Sharp and getting an insight into the school I am extremely happy with the progress being made.
