School Description

The centre is an independent school which provides places for up to 18 students, aged 11 to 16 years. Students of sixth form age sometimes attend the centre, although at the time of the inspection there were no students in this age group. The centre is registered as a special school. It caters for students who have been traumatised by bullying or other events. All students have additional social, emotional and mental health needs. A small number of students have an education, health and care plan. There are currently no students who come from minority ethnic backgrounds or who speak English as an additional language. The centre is part of group of centres that are situated in various parts of the country and which are operated by The Red Balloon Charitable Trust. The centre is accommodated in a large house in a residential suburb not far from the centre of Norwich.
