“The Rendcomb Effect”

unlock
"> I have been a Rendcomb junior parent for the last 4 years, and so I feel now I can give a well experienced view. I feel as though each and every child is known by all the teachers and pupils, and possibly most of the parents! This gives such a family feel. I have a child who was shy to begin with and now has flourished into a confident and well rounded pupil, keen to learn and try new things. There is humour, kindness and empathy at Rendcomb with a strong connection between staff and parents, giving the children the will and possibility to achieve their potential. I was a little skeptical of the "Rendcomb Effect" that was legend when we first started, but now I understand what they mean!
“Fantastic, classy but not snobbish achieving high attainment grades”

unlock
"> Rendcomb College has been absolutely fantastic for my son who, having passed the 11 plus, stayed on to attain all A*s & As in his GCSEs. He is now starting his A-levels, and we are hopeful he will repeat the performance of last year's pupils. The school is classy without being snobbish, and the school is attracting and retaining highly talented pupils.
“Rendcomb life”

unlock
"> Rendcomb is a well-kept secret. Home-reared pork and venison, wonderful parkland tours, beautiful scenery and the fresh air of the Cotswolds. My children love the freedom to develop life skills in a caring environment. I couldn't ask for better pastoral care. Provision for Dyslexic pupils is excellent and they achieve very well. Certainly an all round education.
“A very special place”

unlock
"> Rendcomb is a very special place . Yes it is in a stunning location but just walking around the grounds the children are happy and confident. It has a real family feel and ethos where the children are extremely supported by teachers, tutors, pupils and parents. Recent excellent exam results reflect the quality of teaching. However there is so much more Rendcomb offers: the children are given every opportunity to prepare them for life and above all there is a real sense of fun and adventure at its very heart.
“Family is at the heart of this school”

unlock
"> My family and I have had a long association with the school both in Juniors and Seniors. What has always struck me is that every pupil (and indeed parent!) is treated as an individual. As a parent and OR I have experienced most that Rendcomb has to offer and key to the success of the school is the fantastic pastoral care. I cannot recommend Rendcomb highly enough!
“Quality teaching and beautiful grounds - very pleased with my choice”

unlock
"> We joined the school this year and I am really pleased with my decision. Quite aside from the grounds being so beautiful, I strongly feel that the quality of teaching is higher than my experience at our previous prep school. My childrens' progress has been very tangible and any blips in learning have been picked up super quickly and remediated. I am also impressed with the number of parent/school activities and whilst I cannot attend them all due to work, the timing and frequency of them are enough for me to flex around my work diary so I can feel involved in the school. In particular, I am impressed with the before and after school care; my daughters love going and there are a far wider range of extra-curricular clubs and activities than we had at our former school. The Head is a really strong role model, who clearly has high standards and for me, this shows in so many ways, including her weekly distinction assembly and the celebration of the childrens' achievements. I also value the Forest School - every nursery and prep school we have attended or visited has a Forest School (usually a small corner of conservation area or an adventure playground in a corner patch of woodland!), but these pale into insignificance when you experience Rendcomb Forest School! Definitely one of the school's many unique selling points! Parents are also welcoming and inclusive and the class reps are enthusiastic and very supportive to new parents. No evidence of cliques here. IMO a welcoming, friendly, academically ambitious school and a learning environment that I wish I had experienced when growing up!
“Brilliant school on a hill”

unlock
"> We also had an amazing journey at Rendcomb college having had children go through both the junior and senior school. My kids had an amazing experience both in the class room and on the sports field representing the college and beyond. They have many friends who meet up on a regular basis and happy continuing their educational journey at top universities.
“Family-feel with excellent care”

unlock
"> Our children started here a few years ago and it is the best thing we ever did for them. They are supported to develop their interests, challenged to set themselves high targets, and encouraged when they are finding things difficult. Most important of all, they are happy! It's a wonderful, genuine family-feel school.
“Excellent school”

unlock
"> I am utterly astonished by mum333 and A parent of 4. This has certainly not been my experience of both Junior and Senior Schools. Rendcomb epitomises the holistic approach to learning with high teaching standards, a busy outdoor life and a wealth of musical experiences. Both my children have achieved highly, whilst gaining the confidence and self esteem necessary to face this mad world! It is a beautiful school - inside and out - and pastoral care is second to none. With a very caring leader I am assured that my children are in very safe hands.
“A balanced education in a beautiful spot”

unlock
"> I have had three children at Rendcomb College - juniors and seniors and I cannot speak highly enough of the education they are getting and the very high levels of pastoral care - all in a stunning setting with extremely approachable staff and teachers and friendly parents. All of my children are exceedingly happy and that speaks volumes. They are getting good results across the board and will look back, I am sure, at happy school days.
“A great family school”

unlock
"> I have children in the Junior and Senior part of the College and have been very happy indeed. My two came from an excellent primary and we thought they were doing well but then they came to Rendcomb College and are now really flying! The staff are very supportive and know my children well. Academic progress has been excellent but it is the way the school has helped grow their self-confidence and awareness that has really stood out.
