Our heat maps use groups of postcodes, not individual postcodes, and have naturally soft edges. All pupils are included in the mapping (i.e. children with siblings already at the school, high priority pupils and selective and/or religious admissions) but we may have removed statistical ‘outliers’ with more remote postcodes that do not reflect majority admissions.

At Saltney Wood Memorial CP School, most pupils make strong progress as they move through the school. Nearly all pupils feel safe and secure in school and know what to do if worried or anxious. Working relationships are extremely nurturing and trusting and pupils regard staff as caring and helpful. Most pupils show good levels of resilience in their work and are keen to develop skills across the curriculum. Pupils have positive attitudes to learning and participate in lessons well. Most pupils develop language, mathematics and information and communication technology (ICT) skills well as they move through the school. A broad, balanced and exciting curriculum meets the needs of most learners well. The school benefits from strong and effective leadership. All members of staff work well as a team and have a clear understanding of their roles. Members of the governing body work purposefully and are supportive of the school’s needs. There is a clear strategic direction for developing the school and there has been a strong track record of improvement over recent years.
