The school is similar in size to most other primary schools. The majority of pupils are White British, although a growing number of pupils speak English as an additional language. An average proportion of pupils are eligible for the pupil premium, which provides additional funding for looked after children and pupils known to be eligible for free school meals. The proportion of pupils supported through school action is average, but the proportion supported at school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is above average. (These are pupils for whom extra help or equipment has been made available to meet their special needs). The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which set the minimum expectation for pupils’ attainment and progress. There is a breakfast club that is not managed by the governing body and is inspected separately.
