School Description

St Columba’s is known for its strong community values. We work in close partnership with parents to provide the supportive care and challenge for boys which enable them to flourish. At each phase of education, Prep and Senior School, we strive for academic excellence, whilst realising that it is whole person education that best prepares boys for the world and workplace of tomorrow. We aim for each boy to achieve ‘his own best standard’. Through a Columban education, your son will discover much about himself and also about the contribution he can make to society at large. This is a vibrant community, where your son will make lifelong friends. He will become a confident, resilient and compassionate young man, who will be well prepared to make his way in the world and to leave people and places better than he finds them.

“Welcome to St Columbas”

"> Excellent school facilities, staff and Pastoral care. Our three boys arrived at St Columbas this term and have all settled in and integrated into school life through efforts from staff, boys and parent groups. Highly recommend.
"> Teachers have been lovely and supportive to our son who joined the Y7 intake at the beginning if this year. They have always provided a clear communication line to us as parents and worked hard to assist us with settling our son in and developing his confidence both academically and socially. He has done very well academically at this school. We are also not related to staff nor have gifted the school, teachers or done any volunteer work around for the school. We were complete outsiders when we joined but my son has still been officially recognised by the school for his achievements and received awards. The school may not suit every child or every family but it is a professional educational institution and is deserving of its nurturing reputation.
