ST JOHN'S SCHOOL PUPILS ATTEND WE DAY EVENT AT WEMBLEY
Our Year 10 pupils had a fantastic time at We Day on Friday 7th March. They were entertained by a range of performers including: Jennifer Hudson, Ellie Goulding, Dizzee Rascal, Sam and the Womp and even our ex headboy, Ashley Banjo, with his dance troupe: Diversity. We also enjoyed listening to the inspirational speakers. Malala spoke of her campaign to ensure that every child in the world receives an education. Martine Wright spoke of how the tragedy of the 7/7 bombings led to a positive chain of events in her life which ultimately led to her taking part in the Paralympics at London 2012. We also heard from Richard Branson, Boris Johnson, Al Gore and even…Prince Harry! The overall message of the day was that young people can and do make a difference to the world. What a fantastic and inspirational day!
