School Description

The school is a smaller-than-average-sized primary school. It has provision for Early Years Foundation Stage children in one Reception class. There is one class per year group. Most pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils from minority ethnic backgrounds and who speak English as an additional language is above that found nationally. The proportion of disabled pupils and those with special educational needs supported through school action is above average. The proportion of pupils supported by school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs is below average. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium is below average. The pupil premium provides additional funding for children in the care of the local authority, children of parents serving in the armed forces and pupils known to be eligible for free school meals. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which set the minimum expectations for the pupils’ attainment and progress. The school provides a daily breakfast club.
