School Description

The Cedars School was founded in 1992. It is situated in Aldermaston village in a building that was once the church school. The proprietor, who is also the headteacher, is currently seeking planning permission to extend the main school building. The Cedars School is a non-selective independent day school for girls and boys aged 4 -11 years. A partnership has been established with the local primary school where after school care is provided; as a result, parents of pupils at Cedars School can use this provision by arrangement. The school’s ethos is clear and is very well supported by parents: ‘We have a firm belief that children will learn if they are happy and secure in their environment. We believe that each child is unique, that all children have many talents and that it is our responsibility to seek out and promote these talents so that each child can develop fully both academically and socially’.

The Cedars School Parent Reviews

Average Parent Rating

“Brilliant”

Our daughter has blossomed at Cedars- academically and socially. I would recommend this school to anyone.
“Simply outstanding”

People asked us if we were emotional that our daughter was starting school. The answer was so very easy. No. Cedars is an extension of our family. The education and pastoral care are truly outstanding. To watch our daughter beam that the school holidays are over is more than we could ever wish for. We simply adore it.
“Outstanding education in a caring environment”

I went to The Cedars School as a child and have remained very involved with this happy, caring environment. Excellent, quality education and delightful, well rounded children!
