West Kidlington is larger than the average-sized primary school. The vast majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils who are disadvantaged and supported by the pupil premium is below the national average. The pupil premium provides additional funding for looked-after children and pupils who are known to be eligible for free school meals. The proportion of disabled pupils and those who have special educational needs is broadly average. Children in the Nursery attend part-time. There are two full-time Reception classes. The school meets the government’s current floor standards, which set out the minimum expectations for pupils’ attainment and progress in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of Year 6. The separate West Kidlington Nursery School on the school site became part of the primary school in April 2015.
