The headteacher of Wilkes Green Junior School took over Wilkes Green Infant School as executive headteacher in September 2018. Wilkes Green Infant School is due to close and merge with the junior school to become a primary school on 1 May 2019. The school is governed by an IEB. The school receives formal support related to improving leadership, and teaching and learning. This is brokered through Colmore Teaching School Alliance. The proportion of pupils supported with an education, health and care plan is below the national average. The proportion of pupils who receive SEND support is also below the national average. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils is broadly in line with the national average. The school does not have a religious ethos.
