Ysgol Y Ganllwyd is situated in the centre of the village, which is a few miles from the town of Dolgellau in Gwynedd. The majority of pupils come from the village itself and the surrounding rural areas. There are 19 pupils between the ages of four and 11 on roll, and one pupil of nursery age.
